Easter is on its way to Dollyworld!

No, not Dollywood, that’s Dolly Parton, I mean Kate’s home for wayward dolls!

I have added two new girls to my collection, they are different, Designa Friend dolls from Chad Valley, a UK company. They are similar in size to the American Girl dolls, but way cheaper! But they are fairly well made and have wondrous hair!

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAThis is the first one I got, her name is Hannah and she is modelling a sundress I made her.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAAnd this is Grace, modelling another sundress I made.

And here they both are in their complete Easter outfits!

I have been having a lot of fun with these new girls! I’ve joined a Knitting for American Girl dolls group on Ravelry and am constantly inspired seeing the lovely things everyone has been making!

But Easter isn’t all about knits!

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAMy Tonner Tiny Kitty dolls are also in the Easter parade!

Spring is such a lovely season…too bad its still snowing a bit here! All the girls would have to put their winter coats and boots on over their finery…if they went outside! Luckily they can stay warm and cosy in here!

We are under control!

Haven’t posted in awhile…just lazy basically! But I did want to continue on the theme of Low Carbohydrate living!

I have successfully managed my blood sugar levels for 6 months now on the low carb eating plan. I’ve also brought my blood pressure in line. The only argument is that my HDL (good) cholesterol is a bit higher, my triglycerides have gone way down, which is very good! But my LDL has gone up, which is considered the bad kind. I’ve read extensively on this and know that it isn’t necessarily bad, but my doctor doesn’t agree…he has to tow the NHS line, so I’m going to try some natural methods to lower my LDL number even though I don’t really believe I need to. (read Zoe Harcombe, Dr. Mercola, Dr. Briffa, etc, to see my reasoning, they can explain it a lot better than I can!)

I find low carb eating easy to do now. I’ve lost 56lbs ┬áto date and am under 200lbs for the first time in many years…probably 25-30! I love buying new clothes! I still have a way to go, but I’m positive I can do it and be a “normal” size!
